The Feminine

I recently started reading the book Women Who Run With The Wolves

what a beautiful book to come across

as I started reading, I kept a pen with me to underline things I liked or wanted to know more about

These are some of the underlined pieces I liked;

wolves and women are relational by nature, inquiring, possessed of great endurance and strength, they are deeply intuitive.

the river always called to be visited after dark

a woman’s knowing, her creative fire

fairy tales, myths and stories provide understandings which sharpen our sign so that

we can pick out and pick up the path left by the wildish nature.

they know instinctively when things must die and when things must live, they know

how to walk away, they know how to stay.

i feel so seen reading this book. it’s only come to my attention recently that this dark nature of women is a common studied archetype.

at the beginning of 2023, i got a tattoo on my neck “Be This Woman”, it was from a

poem on a bookmark that my mom gifted to me.

the full quote is

“a women empowered by her knowing, guided by her intuition, supported by her dinivity,

be this woman.

show more and be more of who you really are”

it was my goal to fully learn how to do that,

how to be that woman.

over the last two years i have faced challenges that have gotten me to become more immersed  into this

to be authentic

to show my vulnerability

to be proud of my emotions and feelings

it feels incredible to get to know yourself

in deep deep ways,

i mean a real searching inventory of myself

it allows me to then meet others in a more beautiful way.

i feel like i broke a curse recently…maybe a story for another time

but a huge karmic lesson i have just been involved with

and now parted with

i am free

i am this woman
